Save a Horse, Ride a CowBOY: Roads by prassacut

Sometimes Jasper would rather ride a boy than his faithful steed...

This week’s Save a Horse pick is Roads by prassacut.

Roads is an adorable story that will put a smile on your face and make you chuckle uncontrollably. It centers on Edward and Jasper, two people thrown together under humorous circumstances one evening at a bar. Jasper, annoyed with the direction of his life and the way his parents blatantly ignore his needs and wants, finds himself knocking back drink after drink while striking up an innocuous conversation with Edward. Soon Jasper is fall-down drunk, calling himself Bruce Wayne, telling Edward he smells like “fried green tomatoes and dirt,” and just embarrassing himself. Taking pity on the pour soul, Edward lets him crash at his apartment and thus begins the development of a rather interesting and comical friendship between the two men.

Due to a series of events, Jasper and Edward head out on a road trip, something Edward’s always wanted to do and Jasper sees as a great opportunity for himself and as an excuse to spend time with Edward.

One thing I absolutely love about this story is Jasper’s refusal to swear. He will use euphemisms like ‘duck,’ ‘effed up,’ ‘dang,’ and ‘gah’. You can’t help but giggle to yourself and shake your head. You’ll also enjoy the way Jasper is described when he’s deep in thought and having an internal conversation with himself. lol

We’re still experiencing a slow build up of sexual tension right now (eight chapters have been posted at the time of this rec), but I have a feeling this is going to be one hilarious, endearing and HOT romp! Roads is definitely one story to watch!
