Sometimes Jasper would rather ride a boy than his faithful steed...
This week’s story is Do You Love Me? Now That I Can Dance by Jasper1863Hale.
Edward’s wedding is just a few weeks away and his mother suggests he take dance lessons so he doesn’t fumble through his first dance with his bride. Reluctantly he agrees to check out the place and hopefully learn a few things. While there, he’s intrigued by owner of the dance studio, Jasper, as well as the rather…intimate dancing. The two men spend the next few weeks together and bond over the art of dance. Edward becomes increasingly confused because he cannot understand the feelings he’s having for his dance instructor. He’s torn between what his body wants and what is expected of him by family and friends.
I really enjoyed this one shot because the dance scenes were so vividly described that I felt like I was standing in the room with Jasper and Edward, watching them move and grind on the dance floor. It also added elements of the film Dirty Dancing that everyone who’s watched the film will recognize. At certain parts of the story, you will instantly recognize key scenes and songs.
