Save a Horse, Ride a CowBOY: The Apartment by GwendolenFairfax

Sometimes Jasper would rather ride a boy than his faithful steed...

I’m really excited to share this week’s Save a Horse, Ride a CowBOY story, The Apartment by GwendolenFairfax!

In order to live in his dream apartment in New York City, Edward decides to take on a roommate. His co-worker, Jasper, seems like a nice enough guy and they’ve always gotten along so being roommates seems to be the perfect fit. Edward and Jasper live in relative harmony except on Tuesday and Thursday evenings. On those particular days, Edward is forced to leave the apartment because Jasper has special “meetings” he doesn’t want anyone to know about. No matter how many times Edward brings up the possibility of not having to leave the apartment, and promising he won’t disturb Jasper and his guest, Jasper refuses to budge.

Through it all, Edward and Jasper forge a close and special relationship. Feelings begin to develop and Edward finds himself pining for his best friend, who may or may not be having an affair with a married man. The more Edward gets to know Jasper, the more he starts to wonder what other secrets his handsome best friend harbors. Intensely private, Jasper doesn’t reveal much about his family or what he did prior to moving to New York; his mysterious nature both excites and frustrates Edward.

I particularly like this story because the plot and characters really draw you in. Each of the characters is portrayed very realistically, and you'll want to discover Jasper’s many secrets just as much as Edward. Look out for the character Will, he’s a complete sweetheart!
