For those of you who didn't watch or wern't able to attend the Spencer Bell Legacy Ball; here is a collection of just some of the awsome highlights of the evening. It was an absolute joy to watch and more importantly it was for a great cause!
It was also my first 100 Monkeys concert and that fact alone makes me incredibly giddy. Now, granted, I only watched it online. However, after 7 hours of live stream, two concerts, watching all the support acts (which were fantastic), twittering and talking to people in the chat room (including Evro's manager and some of my twitter buddies) I felt like I was actualy there!
I certainly have many great memories to take away from the experience, even the black out which could have threatened the night was (in hindsight) a lot of fun from our end; whether it was screaming profanities at my PC or trying to find out what was happening while poor April tried her hardest to get the show back on the road...everyone here, there and inbetween kept a smile on their face and moral high! A few hours later I was treated to some footage of the black out ~
(I would like to give a massive thank you to April, and everyone else on the team who made it possible for us to watch the show online, I for one truly appreciated the experience!! And to JoJosmusic1986 for uploading this video, it made my Monkeys experience complete!)
As you can see, Jackson looked amazing the entire night! Seriously. Look at the pics, look look look!! *thud* Also, Ben G won my heart with his honey soaked voice and mad dancing skills. Jrad. Oh my god, I haven't laughed so hard in forever ~ watching him drumming/bouncing away on a birthing ball made me giggle like an idiot for hours!!
All the guys put on an amazing set and each took some time to tell some awful jokes...I also walked away with so much respect for their music and foud some new bands in the process. I even had to stop counting how many instruments were on stage at one point, I think Jackson had played some 11 over two sets (not including the black out Jam-A-Thon) at last count on his own!? The other guys were just as talented! Truly awesome guys!!
Jasper's Dark Angel asked RMHale, who was at the Spencer Bell Legacy Ball, about her experience to which she wanted to share this, enjoy! (Thanks for the pics hon, they are awesome!)

Morning girls...
So, you want to hear about one of the best times I ever had? First of all, the concert itself was amazing. The line-up was fantastic, there wasn't a single band that didn't belong there. Starting with the first band, you never had one doubt in your mind why you were truly there.
It was to support the fight that the 100 Monkeys are leading to take charge of adrenal cancer, which is what took the life of Spencer Bell. Jackson opened up the event by giving his personal tribute to the man and then letting everyone know how fast and deadly adrenal cancer is. I myself had no idea. It was very sad to learn how little is being done to find a preventative or cure for this cancer. People are pretty much told it is a lost cause and their death is fairly immediate after that. They never plan to stop the fight and that makes me so proud to have been there to support it.
When the power went out, it was nearly my favorite part of the night. First, the 100 Monkeys came out and started a little jam session that quickly escalated to an all out Jam-a-thon with all the bands. There were dance-offs, sword fights and a lovely Jackson Improv, "We got no power", that everyone kept singing. The club, Trees, opened up the warehouse type door that faced the street and the Monkeys pulled their van around the front and were getting hooked up to it and ready to play when the power all of a sudden came on. It was fantastic, over an hour of pure fun and wet, sweaty Jackson.
My favorite part of the show is a tie. I absolutely loved all the Spencer Bell songs that were sung in tribute to him. It brought tears to my eyes as I imagined how hard it had to be for those who were really close to him to lose him so suddenly. The other thing that I loved was getting to scream at Jackson during the song "Orson Brawl"...when else do you actually get to yell "Hey big daddy" and "I love you daddy" to Jackson Ratlhbone and he be excited about it? It was awesome!
What surprised me most about the show was the fact that a lot of these guys played in several shows, lending a hand to each other. It was wonderful to see. I have been to many concerts and have never seen the obvious camaraderie and respect they all have for one another. It was also my first Monkeys concert and it was awesome to see how many talents these boys actually have, true musicians for sure.
All in all, even lasting over seven hours, that will go down as one of the best nights ever. The music, the tributes, the people I got to share it with all made for a spectacular and memory-filled night.

Next up is some video slides of some more photos from the night as tweeted out live; just in case you didn't catch them. A massive thank you to Melinda Pleasant who sent in pics from the night before, at the Poor David's Pub.
My hubs and I had a great time. It was my first 100 Monkeys concert, but won't be my last...
