The Devil Inside by Mynxi
This was such a good OS for this contest, because it was completely a lovers scorned story. We have Jasper, a compete playboy, willing to fall for a girl and give her a chance, He gets spooked over Bella's admission of not wanting to be with him anymore and after working out some fine details with her, he things she's the one. On the night of the big dance, he gets a surprise along with his heart broken, when he finds out that Bella isn't who she seems to be. I don't want to spoil all the fun, but this OS had me hooked and wanting to know what happened next. If you are looking for a good jaw dropper, then check this story out. I was so happy that Mynxi submitted this story, as it was a damn good read and well deserved her win for it.
Poor Jasper! My heart breaks for him in this one. His heart was broken once and as a result he turned into a real player until he meets Bella. Will he let her in? Can she change things for him, or is she playing him? It's very easy to see why this fic won for Best Plot and tied for 1st in the Voters Pick. It's a well written and fully developed o/s. And, it has one of those endings that makes you scream, "No way!" Check this one out, you'll be glad that you did.
The Devil Inside is a fantastic one shot! I thought it truely captured the lovers scorned aspect of the contest really well and deserved to win in both cat's. I loved that the plot line was well thought and perfectly executed! Jasper is amazing in this one shot -- his character is very complex and he has a great character developement through his and Bella's interactions.
