Sometimes Jasper would rather ride a boy than his faithful steed...
Hey, y’all!
This week’s Save a Horse, Ride a CowBOY rec is Hard Labor by robownsme. It’s a really sweet drabble-esque story about Edward, who is sent to work at the Cullen farm for the summer. On his first day, he meets Jasper Cullen, tall, beautiful, charming and, in Edward’s words, “fuck hot”. There’s an obvious mutual attraction between the two teenagers, but Jasper is confused because up until that point he’d only ever been interested in girls. Through some shameless flirting on Edward’s part, Jasper’s eyes slowly open to the possibility that a relationship with a guy might not be all that bad.
The story is still in its early stages (at the time of posting), but I can’t wait to see how Jasper and Edward’s relationship pans out. robownsme writes the characters in such a way that you can’t help but root for them. Edward’s father is somewhat of a dick, constantly putting Edward down and telling him he needs to be a “real man,” so it’s heartwarming to see Carlisle, Jasper’s dad, and Jasper stick up for him. This should be very interesting indeed!
