So, the topic this week is textspeak and slang in fics. I have a real issue with reading sentences that sound like they should have been posted on LOLCats. Check out the link and look at the cartoon on the subject.

Okay, are you back? Good. Now, we laugh about it, but it's rampant in fanfiction. Our goal should be to write as correctly as possible while still telling our story. Too many OMGs, YKWIMs, JSYKs, and BTWs ruin a fic. These aren't text messages people. It's okay to type more than 140 characters or even roll over onto the next page!
