You know, I love the Darlin's, each and every one of them.  They are the authority on all things Jasper.  I get great story recs form the site, sneak a peak at delicious Jasporn of every variety.  The Meet the Author, the teasers, the craic (Thank you Claire for bringing one of my favorite Irish terms to the states) segments are unbeatable.  So, when I was asked to be a Darlin' For a Day, well, let's just say I was a wee bit giddy.  An honor that I jumped at the chance to accept, and then realized that I had to actually write something that all you other Jasper hOOrs would be reading.  YEAH. Pressure. 

I start with a confession, I suffer from OCJD.  It plagues me morning, noon and night.  It makes me do really crazy things, like run off to see Jackson Rathbone in concert with a bunch of chicks I have never seen before, did I mention I met them on the, gasp, Internet? shhh. (Ok, that was one of my best decisions ever and now have amazing friends because of it.)  The disease causes me to follow literally dozens of RPing impostors, some really good, some well, suck, quite frankly.  I spend hours listening to one rant and rave in my ear about the angel he has fallen for.  I bloody my fingertips searching the FF site and others for amazing Jaspercentric stories. Which is really a good thing, because you know that feeling you get, the one when you realize all the things you have done, people you have met in the past months have led you to one specific moment?? Well, I got that feeling when I sat down to decide on a story to rec.  I bring you, courtesy of my Obsessive Compulsive Jasper Disorder:

This little gem is a WIP, only 5 chapters in, but the author assures me she has every intention of completing it (ha, pressure's on now girl).  It holds major promise in my mind.  Bella is a single mother of a 4 year old boy; her son declares single dad Jasper's daughter his new BFF.  It seems that fate is just throwing these two single parents together when they meet.  Obviously I believe in fate and this works for me.  Besides, who can't resist a little Daddysper, hmm?? 

The story is well written and plot driven but not overly bogged down in unnecessary details that detract and derail the reader.  It is compelling; I had to keep reading after chapter 1 because I simply had to know what would happen next.  Each chapter so far has left me desperate for the next installment.

Anyone who knows me, knows, I kinda, sorta, like the lemons, reading them, writing them, RPing them.  Well, this bit will NOT disappoint.  The lemons are beyond the hot citrus variety, realistic, do not require stunning feats of acrobatics and suspension of disbelief to perform or to imagine them.  They are real people doing what many of us would really like to be doing.  The relationship starts out with an instant bond and quickly becomes physical.  At first I was concerned about that.  Then they opened their mouths (to speak you naughty, naughty vixens) and everything fell into place exactly the way I would expect, not at all contrived.

My favorite line of the story so far; "Bella, why is there a vibrator in the dishwasher?"  Go read to find out the answer and the poser of the question.
