This week’s Save a Horse, Ride a CowBOY story is Destination by Kerrfrano.
Sitting in the airport, Jasper is returning home from Australia when a handsome man asks if the seat next to him is taken. The two strike up a conversation and feel an instant connection while awaiting their return flight to Los Angeles. On the plane, Edward and Jasper are separated, Edward in first class and Jasper in coach, but Edward eventually makes his way back to Jasper’s seat where the two men share more of themselves with each other.
Upon landing in L.A., neither wants to say goodbye. Jasper’s connecting flight to Texas doesn’t leave until the following day, so Edward quickly invites him to his home. Sparks fly and the two men experiences 24 hours of complete and utter bliss. Jasper reluctantly leaves, but not before writing a letter expressing his feelings and signing it with his full name (they only knew each other as E and J).
Even though the chemistry and connection between Edward and Jasper is extremely strong, Edward feels they could never have a real relationship because he’s in the closet for his job. He’s in the public eye and believes that he if came out, it would be career suicide.
Will Edward and Jasper be able to overcome their obstacles and live happily ever after?
I flew through this story when I first read it and can barely wait to see what happens next. Edward and Jasper go through a lot of ups and downs in this story, and the angst is ramped up to 20 at times, but their journey will truly capture you. Give it shot and see for yourself!
