This week’s Save a Horse, Ride a CowBOY story is His Lucky Green Eyes by twilight mum69.

In this drabble-esque story, we find Jasper who is traveling to Ireland to discover his family’s Irish roots after a bad break up. He plans on playing at four bars during his stay, but is a little apprehensive about the trip as a whole.

While driving to his first gig, Jasper gets horribly lost and has to ask for directions. Unfortunately, he barely understands the helpful strangers, but tries to follow them as best he can. He eventually stumbles upon a building and decides to try his luck. It may not be the correct place, but with the coming storm, at least it’s clean and dry.

Jasper immediately notices strange things, especially the mysterious animals who seem drawn to the estate. His host, Carlisle Cullen, is kind and generous and introduces Jasper to his family, but it’s Edward who completely turns Jasper’s world on its axis, his green eyes captivating and hypnotizing. The men have an instant connection, but Edward holds a secret that could doom their relationship before it even has a chance to start.

I really enjoyed this story because it’s unique take on the supernatural aspect of Twilight. The chemistry between Jasper and Edward is electric and I found myself loving the entire Cullen family. There’s a twist at the end that may surprise you, but I know I was happy when it was revealed! lol
