This was such a sweet and endearing story. It's short, but you get so much from it. I loved all six chapters and the outtake as well. There is a tissue warning on the last two and you need to take it seriously. I was wiping my eyes constantly so I could finish reading.

Edward repairs and restores old clocks when Jasper comes in with a pocketwatch that was his grandfather's. Edward uncovers something very special and then he helps Jasper find some answers as well as a surrogate family. The two boys make me smile and I thank Owenic for sharing such a beautiful story.

It's slash, but there is no lemon just some makeout times. If anyone out there is thinking about reading slash this is a story that would be a good jumping off point. And even if you don't read slash you need to read this one. I don't think you'd be disappointed at all.

Edward works in antiquities and specialize in watches and clocks. One day Jasper comes in with a watch that was his grandfathers. He wants to know more about the watch, but what Edward finds causes more questions than answers. This story was sweet and I enjoyed reading it so much. I hope you check it out and see what goes on with these sweet men.

OMG Owenic has absolutely killed me dead with this story! It’s a short and sweet read about a boy, Jasper, looking to find out as much information about a pocketwatch as he could. The watch had belonged to his Grandfather and since he’d recently lost most of his family, he needed to know.

Edward is an expert on watches who finds something special in the watch and then offers to help Jasper in his findings.

This is such a sweet love story between two boys who share an instant connection and I promise you will need tissues because I couldn’t stop crying through most of the chapters because it’s so sweet yet traumatic for Jasper.

Six shortish chapters and one outtake that tells the story of Jasper’s grandfather that are so perfectly written and fantastically beautiful and you have yourself the story of His Grandfather’s Watch. I’ve never read a story that emphasizes the need for human contact so clearly while also exploring the emotional side of things.

Give it a chance and I promise you will not be disappointed. I’m so glad this was the story of the week for us, it’s been on my TBR list and this bumped it up. I give it two thumbs up!!

When I first found out that this fic was only 7 chapters long and was marked complete, I couldn’t imagine how a story could be told in so few words. But let me tell you...this love story is wonderful! It spans 2 different generations and the difference between how two father’s react to their son’s homosexuality shows how much times have changed. There’s some heartbreak in this story, so make sure you have your tissues at hand. This is a short fic that packs a punch!

owenic can do no wrong in my eyes when it comes to Jasper/Edward fanfiction. All of her stories are beautiful, but His Grandfather's Watch may be her best yet! Edward, who works for the family antique business, restores old clocks and watches. He is very passionate about his work and loves the mechanics of the time pieces. When Jasper enters the shop looking for answers regarding his grandfather's, Hale Whitlock, watch, Edward is the perfect person to help him solve the mystery.

Jasper and Edward embark on a journey filled with clues, revelations and discoveries. As they spend more and more time with each other, their friendship strengthens and they soon find themselves closer than they ever imagined.

I want to give everyone fair warning that you will probably need a Kleenex by the end of the story. owenic ties Jasper and Edward's journey with Hale's so seamlessly and effortlessly. Hale Whitlock's tale could be it's own separate story, and would be just as powerful, romantic and heartbreaking. I don't want to give too much away, but you will experience a rollercoaster of emotions learning more about him and his lost love.

Definitely check out this incredible love story that spans generations. Like abbymickey24 said, it's a great story for those who are just starting out with slash. It's filled with fluffy romance and isn't heavy on the citrus.

If ever there were a story that fit the saying, "love conquers all," this would be the one.
