This week’s Featured Darlin’ is JasperLuver48 (also known simply as “Mel”). Some of her stories include “Conflicted Love”, “The New Kid”, and “Sixteen Again”. She’s known in the Fandom for writing both Het and Slash, and not focusing her stories around Jasper as a romantic lead. She’s not big on writing fluff, but that’s OK, because she’s got a great imagination and some great stories under her belt. Read on to see what she had to say!

2. How long have you been reading/writing FanFiction? Since February 2010
3. What’s your favorite pairing? Jasper/Edward or Jasper/Bella
4. What’s your favorite genre? Slash, but I prefer real fics, ones that don’t always have a happy ending and aren’t too cheesy with fluff.
5. If you were to collaborate with an author, who would you choose to collaborate with? TiffaniNichole or Coachlady1
6. 7. What do you look for when reading a story (i.e. writing style, no mistakes, etc.)? I like a story that has some sort of character development, unless it’s labeled PWP, then I just look for hot porn.
8. What turns you off of a story? I can’t stand when a fic as too many mistakes, especially when they praise their beta by name, it looks really bad and I cringe.
9. What’s your favorite version of Jasper (i.e. Geeksper? Domsper? Darksper?)? I love Geeksper, Dom/Subsper, Paintsper, and Cockysper… there’s too many awesome versions to pick just one lol
10. Is there any type of story that you will absolutely NOT read, regardless of how well it may be written? I don’t think I could read a beastiality fic, that just weirds me out, otherwise I am VERY open-minded and will read anything… I like things extremely kinky and dirty in my fics!
11. Who is your favorite FanFiction author? TiffaniNichole and Coachlady1, you can’t make me choose one over the other! *sticks out tongue* lol
12. What is your favorite FanFiction story? “Beyond Time” by Tkegl, it’s an Edward/Bella fic but it’s the most thought out, well-researched, and best written fic I’ve ever read. It fits in with canon Twilight but has its own originality and it’s honestly just stupendous!
13. Are you good at leaving reviews, or do you tend to simply “lurk”? I review every fic I read at least once!
14. What do you do when you get Writer’s Block? I put the fic away and start writing something else, or I watch an episode of one on my three favorite shows, The Vampire Diaries, Supernatural, or Criminal Minds, and then I come back to it later.
15. What is the atmosphere like when you’re writing (i.e. quiet, loud, cigarette)? If I have an idea, I can write whenever. Usually I’m sitting on my couch with the tv or music on and my son is in his room playing, but I can write when he’s in the living room too, it’s just more interrupted lol.
16. What’s your favorite thing about writing FanFiction? Being able to get my ideas out in a creative way and having people actually enjoy what I’m writing. Also, I’ve made a lot of incredible friends through writing fanfiction.
17. Least favorite? I hate when people are rude to an author just because they don’t like what is being written, I mean, we all have the right to write what we want and if you don’t like it, stop reading, but don’t be rude.
18. Slash or no slash? SLASH ALWAYS! YES PLEASE!
19. What scene involving Jasper would you have liked to have read, rather than it having been glossed over in the books (i.e. Jasper’s history with Maria, Peter, and Char; Jasper wandering; Jasper’s reaction to Edward becoming infatuated with Bella—shown in MS, but not in Twilight)? I would love to have seen when Jasper let Peter and Char go, I feel like the bond there was a lot stronger than the books made it seem…
20. Which is your favorite book in the Saga? Eclipse
21. If Jasper were a real person in your life, what would you do? Jump his bones, I mean he is the perfect man… vampire or not lol.
22. Is Jackson Rathbone your Jasper, or do you have another actor you’d rather play him? Jackson is my Jasper most of the time, but once in a while in certain fics make me see another actor.

23. Is there a character (besides Jasper) that you absolutely love? Paul, there’s something about Paul that pulls me in and makes me want more!
